Aims and Objectives:
- Understand how to overcome the barriers when implementing a single handed care programme of change.
- Develop and create an informed and meaningful strategy that ensures the success of the changes implemented.
- Carry out a robust risk assessment that is Care Act compliant as well as ensuring your working within your scope of practice.
- Ensure care packages are optimised and they are proportionate to meet the needs of the individual.
- Utilise moving and handling techniques and equipment safely in single handed care packages.
- Evaluate competency in single handed care practice.
